This Privacy Policy explains how Hyrovo(“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website and services (the “Platform”) as a job seeker or an employer. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Hyrovo is an AI-powered, two-sided hiring marketplace. Job seekers create a profile and apply to roles; employers post jobs, receive AI-ranked applicants, and may run AI video interviews. We act as a data controller for account data and as a processor on behalf of employers for application data they receive.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), and role (seeker or employer).
- Seeker profile & CV data — your headline, location, skills, experience, education, portfolio links, the CV files you upload, and CVs/cover letters generated on the Platform. These may contain sensitive personal data you choose to include.
- Employer & company data — company name, website, work email, industry, size, and registration details you provide.
- Applications & interviews — the jobs you apply to, cover letters, AI match scores, and — where an interview is conducted — the interview transcript, any typed task answers, and integrity signals (e.g. screen-share status, paste events). Live audio/video is processed in real time to power the interview and is not stored by us as a recording.
- Payment information — when you buy credits, a Job Hunt Pass, or top up an employer wallet, payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive a transaction reference and amount; we do not store your full card details.
- Usage & device data — log data, approximate location, and cookies/session tokens needed to keep you signed in and to operate the Platform.
3. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and provide the Platform’s features.
- To match seekers to jobs, rank applicants for employers, and generate AI-written CVs, cover letters, and interview reports.
- To process payments and maintain your credit, pass, or wallet balances.
- To send service messages and notifications (e.g. application updates, interview reports).
- To protect the Platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. AI processing
We use third-party AI models to parse CVs, rank candidates, write documents, and conduct first-round interviews with our AI interviewer, “Dami”. Your inputs (such as profile data, CV text, and interview answers) are sent to these providers to generate results. AI outputs may be imperfect and should not be the sole basis for any hiring decision. Employers are responsible for making fair, lawful hiring decisions and for complying with anti-discrimination laws.
5. How we share information
- With employers — when you apply to a role, the relevant employer can see your application, profile, CV, cover letter, match score, and interview report for that role.
- Service providers (processors) — hosting and database (Supabase), application hosting (Vercel), AI processing (OpenAI), payments (Stripe), and email delivery (Resend). These providers process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Hyrovo, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by those providers.
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us, after which we will delete or anonymise your personal data except where we must retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, contact us at support@hyrovo.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database, and private storage for uploaded CVs (served only via short-lived signed links). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate core features. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
